Microchip Clinics (reservation required)
Watch for our next clinic, coming soon!
Views of abandoned pets in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina remind us
that we need to make plans and preparations for our animals in the event
of a natural disaster. In an effort to both help animal rescue efforts
and to help ensure that your lost pet can be reunited with you,
Buffalo Companion Animal Network is holding a Microchip Clinic. The process
involves injecting
a small capsule under the skin which emits an electronic frequency signal
that can be read by a handheld scanner. Shelters and veterinarians
scan animals in order to identify them and their owners.
The cost is only $25 and proceeds will benefit Buffalo Companion
Animal Network. For more information
or to make a reservation to have your pet microchipped, contact Kathy at
(716) 836-0925.
